If you think you’re too small to make a difference, you haven’t spent a night with a mosquito. African proverb
Of course you’ve spent a night with a mosquito. Remember what it was like. Remember that high, insistent buzzing in your ear warning you, “You’re about to be dinner.” Have you ever turned on the light to see if you could find it? Of course, it’s no where to be found, but as soon as you turn off the light, there it is again– bzzzz. Light on. It’s not there. Light off. bzzzzz
Eventually, you fall asleep, and in the morning you wake up with itchy lumps on any body part exposed to the air. And for the next several days, those bumps can only be soothed by scratching– an that only makes them itch more!
Yes, that tiny mosquito has made quite an impact. And even though the world’s problems are big, we can be like that mosquito. That mosquito wasn’t intimidated by how big you were compared to her. She just did her thing. So do your thing. Make your difference.
