“What we think or what we know or what we believe is, in the end, of little consequence. The only consequence is what we do.” John Ruskin
I know a lot of things. I believe a lot things. Good things. Important things.
A fat lot of good all those things will do for the world unless I DO something with them.
Do I believe that everyone deserves access to clean water, health care, and economic opportunities regardless of where they were born? Great! What am I going to do about it? Because believing it doesn’t help a poor child in Kenya get an education.
Do I know that our veterans are committing suicide at alarming rates and that they don’t have access to effective mental health care? Good for me! What am I going to do about? Because knowing that isn’t going to keep a young man alive.
