I’d rather see a sermon than hear one any day; I’d rather one should walk with me than merely tell the way. Edgar Guest
You know what you should do?
Here’s what I would do in your situation…
Have you ever found yourself giving advice to friends, family members, and co-workers about how they should live their lives? I know I have. Sometimes, that advice is for me. I’m telling them about the life life I know I should be living, but I’m not.
Yes, you should be more forgiving, because I know I should be more forgiving. Yes, you should give more attention to your spouse, because I know I should give my spouse more attention. Yes, you should stand up for yourself and give your opinion about what’s going on, because I know I should speak up more often. Yes, you shouldn’t be so hard on yourself, because I should really give myself a break.
I’ll try not to tell you how to live you life. Instead, I’ll live mine. I’ll walk my talk about being generous to myself. I’ll walk my talk about giving my time, talents, and money to what I believe.
Although our paths may be different, let’s walk together.
