Today, I relaxed in a lawn chair. Spring in Georgia is truly spectacular with its comfortable temperatures, blooming flowers, and singing birds. A slight breeze ruffled my hair. My toes were delightfully free to soak up the afternoon sun. A sense of calm and peace settled down around my heart and mind, and I smiled warmly to my husband while I gave his hand a firm squeeze. My heart felt full, and I was reminded that I have been lucky and fortunate in so many ways throughout my life. As I sat there appreciating that beautiful day, I gave thanks that I have the physical, mental, and emotional capacity to appreciate it.
Give, because it’s a beautiful day, and if you can appreciate that, you have much to give thanks for.
