Nobody made a greater mistake

Last year, things looked grim as an Ebola outbreak wreaked havoc on the lives and livelihoods of communities throughout West Africa. At the time, the Change Gangs community voted to give our Emergency Relief Fund to Doctors Without Borders to help with the crisis. We couldn’t do much, but we knew we needed to do something. And we knew the best thing we could do was to support the hard work of dedicated experts with our hard earned money.
I’m relieved to report that the situation in West Africa is improving greatly and proud that we were part of the solution in our own little way.
According to NPR, “For the first time since the virus hit Sierra Leone, the country hasn’t had a single new case in a week, the World Health Organization said Wednesday. And over in Guinea and Liberia, the situation is also looking up. This week Guinea reported only three new cases, while Liberia hasn’t had a case in more than a month.”
Thank you to the Change Gangs members, and for anyone else who puts their time and money where their heart is. This world is a better place because of you!
Here’s a picture of a community celebrating the news! Read the full NPR story here:
