Not the bad kind of pride that says, “Hey, I’m better than everyone else. Look at me! I gave!” Although, maybe giving is good for that kind of pride, too.
But I’m talking about the good kind of pride. The kind that of pride that makes you stand a little taller, look at yourself with satisfaction, and say, “Yeah, I did that. That’s awesome. I wonder what else I can do?” That’s the kind of pride that makes you believe in yourself, that gives you confidence to try new things, and provides an unshakeable belief that you are a good person who does good things.
