Your mother was a fountain of good advice.
“Don’t talk to strangers!”
“If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”
“Wear clean underwear when you leave the house.”
She had a few lessons about giving, too…
And not just, “Give that to your sister!”
She taught you about sharing what you have with others. She taught you about giving thanks and gratitude: “Say please and thank you” and “You know there are kids in Africa who won’t eat dinner tonight”.
So, give your time, money, and talent, because your mamma told you to. She’ll be proud that you did. And remember, she did tell you to “Always listen to your mother.”
